What is in a blend vial
A blend is two lyophilized peptides co-packaged in one vial. Our Wolverine Blend contains 5 mg of BPC-157 and 5 mg of TB-500 (thymosin beta-4 fragment). Because both dissolve in the same solvent, the ratio between them is fixed by the vial, and every draw contains both in that ratio.
The two peptides
BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid fragment derived from a protein found in gastric juice. Preclinical literature covers tendon, ligament, muscle, and gastrointestinal models in rodents, with reported effects on angiogenesis and growth-factor signaling.
TB-500 is a synthetic fragment corresponding to the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4. Thymosin beta-4 has been studied in cell migration, wound models, and cardiac tissue models, with the actin-sequestering mechanism being the most characterized.
The concentration math
Work each peptide separately from the same solvent volume.
- Add 2 mL of bacteriostatic water to a 5 mg + 5 mg vial.
- BPC-157: 5 mg divided by 2 mL = 2.5 mg/mL = 2,500 mcg/mL.
- TB-500: 5 mg divided by 2 mL = 2.5 mg/mL = 2,500 mcg/mL.
- On a 100-unit (1 mL) syringe, each unit holds 0.01 mL, so each unit contains 25 mcg of each peptide.

Reconstitution notes
- Run the water down the inside wall of the vial. Swirl, do not shake. Both peptides are sensitive to shear.
- Let the solution clear fully before drawing. Blends can take longer to dissolve than single peptides.
- Refrigerate at 2 to 8°C after reconstitution and use within days, or aliquot and freeze at -20°C.
- Log the batch number, date, solvent volume, and the resulting concentration of each peptide.
Why blends are used in research
Published preclinical work has examined the two peptides in overlapping tissue-repair models, and a fixed-ratio vial removes a source of pipetting variation when a study calls for co-exposure. Whether a blend is appropriate depends on the experimental design; the vial does not change what either peptide does.
